I'm a sucker for quizzes, whether they're online or in magazines like Esquire or even Cosmo. There's a reason why morning shows on slow days thrive on these things – we all are curious about testing ourselves.
So here's today's quiz question: What's your digital age?
This is more than a good question – it is critically important to media professionals who are attempting to relate, communicate, and engage with rapidly changing audiences. It is especially important for radio managers, owners, researchers, and consultants to be conversant with new digital tools, resources, gadgets, and outlets.
So what's your digital age?
I recently ran across a simple 10-question survey that everyone in radio (and media) should take, put together by Wells Fargo Labs. Yes, it's a little "banky," but it does a fairly comprehensive job of allowing test-takers to rate their usage of various digital resources, from social networking to online banking to photo taking and sharing. (Beware that it also doesn't calculate an age, but a rating of your digital skill level.)

Tech Poll VI is now in the field – our ongoing commitment to surveying radio listeners about their media and entertainment habits – so let me invite you to take the Wells Fargo survey, and share it with your co-workers, friends, and hopefully us on this blog.
We cannot hope to craft strategies to appeal to today's consumers if we aren't immersed in the tools and technologies ourselves.
So, take the quiz, pass it onto others, and take every opportunity to immerse yourself in new technology, gadgets, and innovation. The only way in which we can keep up with our audience is to plow ahead, try new things, and experience the changes for ourselves.
