We’ve talked about mash-ups in this space where consumers take a couple of songs, blend them together, and create something altogether different and often interesting.
Along those lines, there’s an incredibly powerful video set to Green Day’s "Wake Me Up When September Ends" including footage of Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. It was obviously put together by a "non-professional" person, but you’ll see how it communicates volumes about the events of the past few weeks.
It’s also very viral – evidenced by the fact that I’m posting it in our blog. Put together the right message in a compelling way, and the Internet can be your friend. Of course, that cuts both ways.
