Glad to post a guest blog today from Paul Jacobs:
This week, one of the best things about radio will be taking place in Minneapolis – the 30th Conclave. As someone who knows what it takes to put on a substantive event (shameless plug for The Jacobs Media Summit), we truly admire how this industry gathering has become an excellent learning experience for radio.
Why is The Conclave important? All you have to do is read their mission statement: “Through education, the Conclave’s mission is to improve the quality of broadcasting and related industries so they may better serve the public interest.”
And The Conclave delivers on the promise, with keynoters like Al Franken and FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein, and dozens of some of the smartest people in radio, sharing their knowledge with the current, and next generations of broadcasters.
There are countless industry "gatherings," but The Conclave has emerged as a truly positive force, for management and staffers at all levels. Their Board is to be truly commended.

Conclave was excellent and my first. Highlights for me were Al Frankin (laughed and cried), Mancow (laughed), David Martin (laughed and learned)and most of all the MUSIC. The panels were soso. The hotel sucked. The weather was perfect for staying indoors. Are you going to provide Pauls thoughts/reviews? J Galen
