It’s that time of year again, as amazing as it seems. I know it’s cliché, but hey, where did the year go?
So, as always a lot to be thankful for and we have an entire four-day weekend to think it through. Here’s some of my thankfulness:
For family, friends, clients, my staffs, the guys in Starbucks, and the end of the political advertising season.
For all of you who supported and attended DASH.
For those who we have honored in “Radio’s Most Innovative” – thanks for uplifting the industry.
For True Detective, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and yes, How To Get Away With Murder.
For Chef, Dirty Heads, and the Kongos (I know, I’m mixing media.)
For Jimmy Fallon and Pope Francis (not necessarily in that order).
For Dan Gilbert, Mike Ilitch, and Mike Duggan, helping to bring back Detroit from the ashes.
For Jarl Mohn, LeBron James, and Kate Bush for making the right career choices.
And for those of you who read, share, and comment on this blog. I enjoy the dialogue and being constantly reminded of how many truly passionate people still work in and around radio.
Enjoy your weekend, kick back, recharge, and we’ll see you on Monday with a fresh post.
Also, “Radio’s Most Innovative” will return on Friday, December 5th. We’ll be honoring someone for whom you’ll probably comment, “What took you so long?”
Have a great holiday!
