We’re talking about streaming – how to most effectively get the word out to your cume (and beyond) that you’re providing this service.
Because you’re probably not running commercials at stopsets, what do you use to fill those breaks? If you’re just playing another song or running filler material, rethink how you’re using this inventory. Create specific promos for the stream – reminding web users they’re listening to your station, while providing them with other times and situations when they can use your stream.
In this way, you help to ensure that you get diary crediting when listeners are tuning in your stream. And you take the opportunity to “teach” the audience when and where to use it.
