The one that chose to keep “radio” in their name. But Clear Channel’s CONSUMER branding will be all about I Heart RADIO, so changing the name for Wall Street has little if any effect on the end user. To them, it’s ALL “radio” if it makes songs come out of speakers.

Me thinks that Pandora is a brand name that consumers recognize and will seek out. Clear Channel whatever is not. For CC, it’s iHeartRADIO or KIIS, etc.

Both. Radio is no longer a device; it is creative audio that is and will continue to be available on a variety of platforms.

Door number one! They’re the one to beat, the one all the others are trying to duplicate! I consider Pandora an interactive jukebox. I’m a purist.

Thanks to everyone for the comments here and elsewhere about our “Pop Quiz” post. Someone sent me an email that wondered why the radio division logo of CC doesn’t contain the R-word, but the digital arm of the business does. That’s an interesting semantic question, too. At a time when radio companies are creating video and digital content, and Internet companies are attempting to create “radio,” the blur is growing daily. Thanks for reading our blog.
