‘The D Brief’ Focuses on Arts and Entertainment in Detroit
Bingham Farms, MI — Jacobs Media’s Digital Dot Connector and radio broadcast veteran Seth Resler has teamed up with Detroit stand-up comedian Mike Geeter to launch a new podcast, The D Brief.
Showcasing Detroit’s burgeoning arts and entertainment scene, the podcast covers everything from concerts to comedy to film, festivals, food and drink. The podcast features interviews with notable figures in the Motor City’s cultural renaissance.
“When Seth first moved to Detroit to join Jacobs Media, he took a six-month lease,” says Jacobs Media President Fred Jacobs. “He never envisioned living here permanently, but fell in love with Detroit. He’s been a podcaster since the early days, and marrying his passion for the Motor City with his podcasting skills is a perfect match.”
In the first episode of The D Brief, Resler and Geeter interview Detroit-based comedian Zach Martina. They also talk with Emily Bowyer, the Family Program Coordinator at The Detroit Institute of Arts, and Ed Terebus from the legendary Erebus haunted house in Pontiac.
There’s considerable buzz around the Detroit Comeback, as evidenced by a recent Lonely Planet report that listed the Motor City as the #2 world destination to visit in 2018.
“I work with a lot of broadcasters to help develop their podcast strategies, so it helps to produce my own,” notes Resler. “Coming up with concepts for podcasts is easy, but bringing them to life is a lot of work. The D Brief is not only a labor of love, but everything I learn from this process makes me more valuable to our clients.”
Fred Jacobs adds, “We love that when it comes to podcasting, Seth doesn’t talk the talk – he walks the walk.”

It is also available in iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play Music, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio.
