David Spade has a cool-sounding new show on Comedy Central, "The Showbiz Show With David Spade" where he skewers celebrities. Interestingly, the Comedy Central folks wanted Spade to do the show on a nightly basis. Spade’s reaction? "There was no way I could make it funny every night. Once a week is hard enough."
It makes you really respect radio’s morning shows – creative men and women who have to make it funny, day in and day out, five days a week, 4-5 hours at a shot. There’s no other business where talent has to perform at as high a level at this frequency. We owe them a major thanks for doing what they do.
