It’s great to see a morning show jump on the bandwagon, and put together a tour of the market. We’ve long been fans of the "30 Bars in 30 Days" promotions when a new jock joins a station. And readers of this space know we acknowledged the "50 States" promotion on ESPN.
Now, veterans Tommy & Rumble of FM99 (Norfolk) are taking their show to the Hampton Roads streets. It’s "Intensities in 10 Cities" and it’s a great way for an established team to reconnect with their fans. This is something that area listeners are already rallying around as 600 T&R loyalists showed up at the first event.
Remember that at its very roots, radio is similar to a political campaign. Listeners "vote" for the "candidates" they meet. It’s not too late to influence "the vote" this fall.
