OK, not yet. But they may be getting dangerously close. In a recent filing to the U.S. government about digital copyright, the same organization that has been on the technological forefront for the past several years is now claiming that "ripping" CDs you own into an iPod is not really authorized.
Wonder if they’re going to start going after Boomers who were making cassette party tapes back in the ’70s.

So does this mean that every station that utilizes an automation system, ie: Scott Studios, is theoretically participating in illegal acts of copyright infringement by ripping CD’s into library databases?
