Norm Pattiz founded the successful radio syndication company Westwood One many years ago. During his time there, he worked with some of the biggest names in radio, including Larry King, Dr. Drew, Adam Carrolla, Casey Kasem, and more. After a phenomenal run, he left and founded the podcast network PodcastOne, applying the same content syndication concept to podcasts.

• Westwood One was also the name of a movie theater, causing some confusion when the company launched
• Norm was released from his TV sales job three days before his wedding
• Westwood One’s first special, “The Sound of Motown,” was inspired by radio station KGFJ in Los Angeles
• At one point, Westwood One owned radio stations, including WNEW-AM and WYNY-FM in New York City
• Scott Shannon is credited with creating the “Morning Zoo” radio show format and the successful launch of Pirate Radio in Los Angeles
• Westwood One acquired Mutual and NBC Radio and cut a deal with CBS, taking the company beyond just music programming
• Larry King was among the big-name personalities at Westwood One
• Norm is celebrating 30 years of marriage with Mary “The Burner” Turner
• Norm Pattiz gave a keynote address at the 2015 New Media Expo
• Kit Gray is the President of PodcastOne
• Loveline featuring Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla was a Westwood One show
• CBS and iHeartMedia have entered the podcasting space
• Norm credits Serial with raising the profile of podcasting
• There is a PodcastOne app for iOS and Android devices (built by jacapps)
• The Adam Carolla Show is on Podcast One
• Phil Hendrie crossed from radio to podcasting
• Radio shows by Dan Patrick, Laura Ingraham, and Rich Eisen are also available through PodcastOne
• Rob Has a Podcast is an award-winning series available through PodcastOne
