So much radio listening happens in the car as a force of habit. When that regular routine is disrupted, it can provide an opportunity to examine those habits more closely. A long holiday weekend is a good time to take a closer look at your audio consumption to see if you can gain any insights. - Did they make special plans in advance to make sure they had audio content available?
- Did they listen to something that they would not listen to normally?
- Did the range of terrestrial transmitters impact their choices?
- Did the other people in the car impact their choices?
- What did they like about their audio experience?
- What would make their audio experience better?
3. If they spent their days at home cooking and cleaning for Thanksgiving, what did they listen to?
- Did they listen to something that they would not listen to normally?
- What apps or services did they use?
- What device did they listen to audio on?
- What apps or services did they use?
- Did the presence of other people in the home impact their audio choices?
- What did they like about their audio experience?
- What would make their audio experience better?
When people’s routines are disrupted, they are forced to make choices. Find out what audio choices your staff made, and probe those choices with some questions. You may be surprised what you learn.
