This week, Basis, the Chicago-based demand-side ad platform, released results of a survey of 140+ marketers’ opinions on the impact of AI on their work.
The results mirrored those of the Marketing AI Institute’s, which was released in early August. Marketers are using AI a little now, but plan on using it a lot in the next 18-36 months.
46% of marketers in the Basis survey now claim to be using AI often or every day, up from 25% last year. Why the increase?
80% of respondents feel AI make them more efficient at their jobs.
The steady rise in daily AI usage among marketers, as seen in Basis’ survey, highlights how AI’s role in marketing will likely shift from a novelty to an essential part of strategy. It also signals that we’re on the cusp of a new era, making now the time for broadcasters to invest in and embrace AI technology.
Microsoft Adds AI Upgrades
MS Paint
The often derided Paint is getting an AI upgrade. Microsoft announced significant updates to Microsoft Paint, adding powerful AI-driven features such as Generative Fill and Generative Erase, similar to what Adobe Photoshop has. These tools allow users to either remove unwanted objects or add new elements to images simply by describing them, a functionality similar to Adobe Photoshop’s AI features. Additionally, Microsoft introduced Super Resolution in the Photos app, enabling users to upscale image resolution by up to eight times. Details
CoPilot
Microsoft expanded its Copilot AI capabilities with new features, including the ability to read on-screen content, provide voice interactions, and offer deeper reasoning through a feature called Think Deeper. Copilot can now analyze web pages and other content to assist with tasks and offer detailed responses. Additionally, the voice functionality allows users to engage in more natural conversations, even interrupting responses. These enhancements further integrate AI into daily workflows, improving user productivity across Microsoft applications. Details
Apple Intelligence Rollout Begins
