Deadline: December 21, 2023
Our annual Techsurvey is the radio broadcasting industry’s largest survey, with our 2023 survey including more than 430 participating radio stations, yielding over 30,000 surveys from core radio listeners.
This year marks our 20th consecutive year of producing these amazing studies for commercial radio in the U.S. and Canada. During that time, much has changed in the world of media and technology.
And Techsurvey has been there to catalog and trend it all. From the rise of the smartphone, social media, smart speakers, and podcasts to new technologies like AI, we continue to track what radio listeners are doing when they’re not listening to the radio.
We’re also learning what “meeting the audience where they are” looks like by format and demographic so stations can strategically invest in the platform(s) that matter to their audience.
The survey fields in early January, and you will be able to choose a “start date” for your station within a 4-week window.
Every participating station will receive the nationwide results.
For a small fee, stakeholders will also receive the results for their individual radio stations. This information is especially helpful to programmers and marketers because it clearly illustrates a station’s uniqueness, compared to its format benchmark, as well as against the entire study’s total sample.
For this year’s study we are going back to 2019’s pre-COVID pricing (as seen below).
You may also choose to participate at no cost, however, no local data is included. You’ll instead receive the national findings, two separate media usage and brand usage pyramids, along with participation in a stakeholders webinar if you choose this no fee option.
We invite your radio station to participate in Techsurvey 2024. The survey covers commercial radio stations in the U.S. and Canada.
We hope you will join us to ensure you’re learning as much as you can about your station’s/company’s competitive challenges, and how to best serve your audience.
Techsurvey 2024 is presented in partnership with Inside Radio and is sponsored by Quu.
(Separate Public Radio and Christian Music studies will follow, with registration following in late winter/early spring 2024)
