In 2018 I took time off to tend to and urgent family matter. In that time the station I worked for (WWNY-TV was sold (sold by-United Communications Corp, Kenosha Wisconsin-CEO Lucy Brown). Fortunately, my previous employer (both COO and CEO) are very supportive of my search and are listed as references. With everything excellent with my family, I began my search for a GM position in mid-2019. As such I have been very particular and methodical in my search and approach in researching both the many opportunities presented to me as well as those I have sought out. It is extremely important that I find the right fit with a company with the right culture that values its employees and community that is also growing.
I have a great deal of experience in all aspects of senior station management including: Sales, Operations, Promotional Marketing, Traffic, Research, Programming, Engineering, Production, Business, Creative Services, and News.
As you will see from reviewing my resume, I have a solid sales background having been a National Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and General Manager. I have had experience in mainly larger markets in addition to my last three years in Watertown, NY. Having sold the big four as well as and smaller networks like CW and MeTV provides me with much diversity and a strong understanding of delivering results and value for clients while growing each station’s bottom line. On the revenue development side I have sold both with and without the use of Nielsen ratings and ComScore so that I can truly work with a team to sell well beyond the numbers and create long lasting partnerships with clients. This experience has also enabled me to produce results and train teams that produce strong local new business development both traditional and non-traditional that go well beyond “spot sales.”
