Regular readers of this blog know that I typically point to Starbucks as a company that truly "gets it" when it comes to connecting with its customers.
Case in point: This card that I recently picked up while waiting for the barista to create my coffee drink says a lot about how Starbucks is interacting with its customers. For a regular (P1) user like me, I’m thinking about how I might make a great suggestion to help Starbucks become an even better business. And a $5 gift card is a nice gesture.
Radio stations can do the same things. Companies like Tune Genie are selling neat music download cards, an inexpensive perk for a great listener idea. And, like the Starbucks campaign, "A Great Idea – For a Song," could be a clever way to make the audience feel more invested in your station. And you just might come away with a great idea in the process.
