Your eyes do not deceive you. The people of Kazakhstan may get passive measurement before U.S. radio stations do. That's the subject of a new press release from Arbitron, announcing their PPM technology will be used to measure Kazakhstan television, replacing their antiquated diary measurement.
Not sure where Kazakhstan is located? We've inserted this handy map. Basically south of Russia and west of China. It's not technically a third world country (they are a big oil exporter), but the country is largely desert, with a small population.
The world is changing rapidly, technologically and culturally. The way media is bought and sold is undergoing a tsunami-like transformation. Hopefully, American Radio will figure it out.
