SOLD OUT
Jacobs Media is once again hosting custom tours open to all broadcasters – CEOs, GMs, Program Directors, Digital Managers, etc. – at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) January 5-8 in Las Vegas. We expect CES to be as relevant, important, and mind-expanding as usual, allowing us to step outside of our day-to-day focus and see the future from a different perspective.
About CES
While the turnout at CES 2022 was light due to the pandemic, we are expecting 2023 to be a bounce-back year, and while attendance will not be all the way back, it will be much more crowded than last year. Concurrently, CTA (Consumer Technology Association) is expecting significantly more exhibitors. The new West Hall space is already sold out, with auto displays spilling over to North Hall. Furthermore, CTA is adding new concepts, including displays and presentations on the Metaverse, expanded digital health exhibits, artificial intelligence, and more.
It is expected that companies including Amazon (Alexa) and Google will be returning after sitting out 2022. We know they’ll bring technology of interest to broadcasters, and we will be sure to prominently feature them on our tours, which regularly include visits with companies like Toyota, Ford, Samsung, LG, and other companies you might not have heard of before but have products and innovations that will affect our worlds in the future.
As always, we design our 90-minute tours to ensure you have prime access to the leaders of the companies we visit. We also craft our trek through the LVCC to focus on exhibitors that not only have products that might affect radio broadcasters today, but to also provide a glimpse of the future. This usually includes car companies, home entertainment, mobility, artificial intelligence, and more.
Dates
We have currently locked in one tour on Thursday, January 5 and have an option for a second, which will most likely be on Friday (but possibly Saturday). Each tour has a maximum capacity of 15 attendees to guarantee a personalized, rewarding experience.
The VIP Tour
The tours are led by CES pros, including Lesley Rohrbaugh and Steve Koenig. They have both worked with us in the past and have a strong understanding of the radio business, our challenges, and opportunities, so they will be able to connect the dots to radio.
On the tour, we will be able to jump the lines and whenever possible, provide a unique experience for our guests.
The tour package includes:
- A general registration pass for CES, including LVCC, Eureka Park, C-Space, and more
- The 90-minute tour
- A group dinner with a guest speaker
- An invitation to a cocktail party we are hosting with other partners on Thursday evening at the Bellagio
- Discounted room rates at either the Bellagio or the MGM Grand. We will provide information to all registrants and help coordinate your room booking; however, you are not obligated to stay at these hotels.
Last year, CES had a vaccine requirement for all attendees. As of today, they haven’t determined their policy for 2023. We will let you know as soon as they make their announcement.
Price
We are holding the rates for our tours at the same level as last year (no inflation here!) – $1,950 for clients and past attendees, and $2,100 for everyone else. However, we know prices for airfare and hotels will be higher this year – it is the world in which we live, so if you are planning on attending, book soon.
As CES veterans, we have learned that each year introduces us to new ideas, visionary thinking, innovations, and new opportunities. This amazing event also brings serendipity and surprise. That is why CES has become the mandatory way we start out each new year.
As the world recovers from the pandemic, innovation has not slowed; in fact, if anything, it has accelerated. That is why it is important to invest the time to identify and understand new opportunities, transformations, and challenges on the road ahead.
We hope you can join us in this endeavor. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions:
