Jacobs Media Hires Scott Jameson
Programming Veteran Joins Rock Consulting Firm
Rock
radio consulting firm Jacobs Media announces today that it has hired veteran
programmer Scott Jameson to join its consulting staff. Jameson joins Jacobs
Media after a 15-year run as Program Director and Director of FM Programming
of WFBQ and WRZX in Indianapolis.
“Scott brings a great combination of experience at the highest levels of programming with a special orientation on developing NTR events and integrating professional sports franchises,” comments President Fred Jacobs. “He has created and produced profitable and successful concerts, as well as managed the flagship programming for the Indianapolis Colts radio network. WFBQ and WRZX are great operations, and Scott’s multi-format versatility is a real plus. We are fortunate to find someone with skills and experience that will immediately benefit all of our clients.”
“There were some interesting programming opportunities over the past couple of months but when Fred approached me about joining the company it quickly became clear that this is something I really wanted to do and it felt like a great fit. I’m honored to be a part of a very talented team of people Fred and Paul have assembled.”
“My years at WFBQ and WRZX will be times I’ll always cherish, a special thanks to Chris Wheat, Marty Bender and Frank Wood for allowing me to be a part of building two of America’s great rock stations.”
Jameson will be based in Indianapolis for the time being, but as Jacobs notes, “He better familiarize himself with the Detroit airport, and better get used to rooting for the Lions.”
Prior to his lengthy stint in Indianapolis, Jameson programmed legendary rocker KYYS in Kansas City, as well as KAZY/Denver.
Scott can be reached at his new email address, which is scott@jacobsmedia.com.
